Any student who has previously attended Southeastern (aside from dual enrollment or Southeastern Scholars). Students who have attended another institution since leaving Southeastern are still considered returning students.
If your aim is to transfer to a four-year school, earning a Louisiana Transfer Associate degree is a great place to start. This degree offered at Louisiana community colleges includes the foundation courses needed for a four-year program, and pursuing this degree can help students choose a major best suited to their interests. Upon earning this degree, students will have completed the first 60 hours of college credit towards a four-year degree. Southeastern will recognize the following Associates degrees: Associate of Science, Associate of Arts, or Associate of General Studies. Southeastern will not recognize an Associate of Applied Science.
